Entertainment - How it Works

There are four types of entertainment in Pharaoh; Jugglers, Musicians, Dancers, and Senet Houses. Here's how they work:

Jugglers

Jugglers are trained at Juggler schools. Once the school is operational, it can train four jugglers per month. As they are trained, the jugglers leave the school and go directly to the nearest vacant venue. This can be a booth, bandstand, or pavillion. Any housing they pass receives 10 entertainment "points". If this housing is not revisited by another juggler within six months , it loses these points.

Musicians

Musicians operate much the same as jugglers. They are trained at conservatories, and then go to their venue (either a bandstand or a pavillion) . Any housing they pass en route receives 20 entertainment points. These points expire in six months if housing is not again passed by another musician.

Dancers

Dancers are trained at dancers schools and perform only at pavillions. Any housing they pass, going to or from work receives 30 entertainment points

Senet Houses

Senet houses operate differently from the other entertainment venues. They do not have a training school, but do require a supply of beer. Once operational, they send out random walkers. Any house passed by these walkers gets 40 entertainment points.

These values are cumulative, so if a house is passed by both a juggler and a musician that house will receive a total of 30 entertainment points. Ten for the juggler and another 20 for the musician. It is possible therefore, for a house to get 100 entertainment points. (Actually, it can get slightly more - some extra points (0-9) are added . Why this happens I do not know).

What You Need

After the first five levels of housing, every succeeding level requires some number of entertainment "points" to evolve. The housing levels and the number of points required are as follows:
